Question 1

Why solo instead of an agency?

Accepted Answer

One operator does what an agency team does: design, scoping, copy, build, deploy, QA, handover. No PM markup, no creative-director layer, no juniors learning on your build. You get senior hands from brief to launch, your repo, your domain, your CMS keys. For a marketing site that takes a 6-person agency eight weeks, I ship the same in 1 to 3 weeks because there's no internal handoff cost.

Question 2

Who owns the code and the assets when we're done?

Accepted Answer

You do, from day one. I commit straight to your repo (or transfer it on day one if you don't have one yet), and the domain, Vercel project, Sanity instance, and DNS records are all in your name. Nothing is held hostage. If you fire me on Tuesday you walk away with everything that exists on Tuesday morning.

Question 3

Do you sign an NDA?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Happy to sign a mutual NDA before any commercial detail is exchanged. I don't have a template ready to send you, but if you have one your legal team prefers I'll sign that. If you want one from my side, I'll have one drafted before the kickoff call.

Question 4

What happens if we cancel mid-build?

Accepted Answer

The 30% deposit covers work already done. If you cancel during the staging phase you keep whatever has shipped: the repo, the Figma file, the CMS schema, the deploy. Cancellation after launch is moot; you already have the site. No clawback, no minimum term.

Question 5

What timezone, what currencies, what languages?

Accepted Answer

Belgrade GMT+2 (Central European, same as Zürich / Frankfurt / Berlin / Milan). I work standard CET hours and reply within 24 hours every business day. I invoice in EUR, with CHF and GBP available at spot rate. Working languages: English (primary, CEFR B2.1), Serbian (native), Russian (fluent).

Question 6

Why are your prices lower than a Swiss agency quote?

Accepted Answer

I'm in Belgrade, not Zürich. Cost-of-living arbitrage is real; a Swiss agency quote at €25k carries Swiss salaries, Swiss rent, and Swiss PM overhead. I'm a senior operator paying Belgrade costs. Same quality of work, lower delivery cost. Nail Studio Diva is the live proof point: paired W3-scope build delivered in under three weeks, full Swiss revFADP legal package included. Receipts and screenshots are on the case page.

Question 7

Do you do WordPress, Shopify, Wix?

Accepted Answer

Not WordPress or Wix sites. Those are sold to clients who want the template they bought to look custom, and that's a different business. On Shopify I build apps, not themes: Docket, for invoices and packing slips, is live on the Shopify App Store. My sites are Vite + React + Sanity, deployed to Vercel, no plugin tax.

Question 8

Can you maintain a site I didn't build?

Accepted Answer

Sometimes. It depends on the stack. Vite/Next.js/Sanity sites, yes; WordPress, no. A maintenance retainer covers sites I built or platforms I know. If you have an inherited site that's broken and you don't know where to start, a short discovery sprint audits it and gives you a fix roadmap whether I do the work or not.

Question 9

Where are you based for tax and invoicing?

Accepted Answer

Belgrade, Serbia. Registered as preduzetnik (paušalac), the Serbian sole-trader status. Invoices come from my registered entity, paid via PayPal Business in EUR (CHF and GBP available at spot rate). VAT not charged for EU/Swiss B2B clients under the reverse-charge mechanism; ask for the official invoice template if your finance team wants to review it before kickoff.

Question 10

Can I get a CV or résumé to share internally?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The full CV is at https://milos-petrovic.com/cv.pdf. Mirrors the case studies on this page with dates, tools, and engagement details. Email me if you need a longer narrative version (academic/grant applications) or a one-page version (procurement portals).
